What is Lean about the Lean Startup?

Start-ups hitting the jackpot are a big attraction these days.More importantly, this boom is not just about dotcoms..Startup companies, particularly those associated with new technology, sometimes produce huge returns to their creators and investors – a recent example of such was Google, whose creators are now billionaires through their share ownership. Most technology start-ups fail not because the technology doesn’t work, but because they are making something that there is not a real market for. Well let’s just say it’s not just something that happens overnight.Launching a company even in the best of times is not for the faint of heart. It’s something that starts with a fall or an injury.Doing so in an inhospitable economic environment requires true grit and supreme confidence. The eco-system - investors, mentors, angel investors and smart talent - that seeded and nourished startups was simply missing. Scores of successful executives are quitting cushy jobs to turn entrepreneur

Phenomenal world of a leader!

There is a higher world, independent of the world we may experience through our senses. Because the senses may deceive us, it is necessary that this higher world exist, a world of Ideas or Forms - of what is unchanging, absolute and universal. In other words, although there may be something from the phenomenal world which we consider beautiful or good or just. There is a higher unchanging reality of the beautiful, goodness or justice.  To live in accordance with these universal standards is the good life -- to grasp the Forms is to grasp ultimate truth. "Thought flows in terms of stories -- stories about events, stories about people, and stories about intentions and achievements. The best teachers are the best storytellers. We learn in the form of stories. There is no greater impediment to the advancement of knowledge through the ambiguity of words. As a question mark is itself an ambiguity. And life is ambiguous... Leadership and Ambiguity might strike you as on odd th

Life is incredibly short and it must be seized!

Gosh.... Just a few thoughts rushing through my mind before we dive into imaginations.I t's been a good year, I reckon by how it just zipped by so fast. And i want  l ive my life  without regret . The only rouse that I have is when people’s thoughts get too twisted...too jaded... We always seem to live in madness.Sitting by the window one sunday evening with cup of tea in my hand.Engrossed in my own world.Closing our eyes to the sadness.Living on the fringe of reality. Locked up in our absurdity. We  h uman beings live for quite a long time and for a lot of that time we are not happy. Why cant we be like rats. Rats live for quite a short time and for most of that time they are very, very happy...   And t he opportunity of a lifetime  must be seized  within the lifetime of the opportunity . I want to wake up feeling that I will learn something new and better every day. Seize  every moment of my day.I wish i could follow that saying which says " Love begins with a smil

Uncomfortable soul

It's been some time now since I wrote anything now.I was talking to my very good friend and  it was a slip of tounge from her mouth.Which i thought must jot it down. The conversation kept on coming up in my mind.Makes me sad that the fact you love someone. And how you feel about relationship.Sometimes the person you fall for  is almost everything you always wanted. It makes's you think about the person all the times. The person makes you smile....but the poisonous truth is he/she is also someone you will never be able to have. Loving someone who doesn't love you back is the most impossible situation imaginable, especially when the love is so strong you are a slave to it. I think it is also maybe, people are usually unaware of their subconcious critirea and that's why they describe "love" as a mysterious thing that follows no rules. They do so for number of unknown reasons. Many times they come to realize they never really loved the person they got married to or

Temptation relax

Just s ome day's ago,I had asked this question to some of my good friends. They said they need some "ME TIME". It is so clumsy and confusing to reply when someone walks in the door and casually asks me “Hey,whats cooking for dinner?Does the washing need help or you need help in cutting vegetables? Why cant they just help without wanting me to ask help. Then she asked me how do i get time to tweet or check Facebook or write your blog between these hassles?Quite interesting Topsy Turvy question.Which made me realize that life can often feel a lot like a rat race, and the speed in which we move through the days, weeks and months, can start to feel overwhelming. So, After hearing them ,it made me remember that expression “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead?” Many of us live our lives running behind time & others are so anxious of living the future that they forget to live the present.. Many of us have our staple life choices to make. But many of us are too busy to do it

Street talk!

Gray Life on the street  More people in our country lack of homes today. They live under the flyovers, under old broken bridges, inside plumbing pipeline, near railway stations, road dividers, pavements - they are everywhere.Every single day.We all pass them by uncaringly. Daily. Even me included. It is not easy  seeing  someone trying to survive on the  streets  of the city, and our reactions can range from pity, to anger, to choosing not to  see  the person at all. ... what it's like to have no home. Homelessness is about more than just poverty. And on bone chilling winters s ome arere visibly distressed and freezing, barely able to feel their hands. It was an early flight and i was on the way back home with my brother after leaving my younger sister to Delhi International Airport who had come for a short visit to India. Our car stopped at the red light sign

Fishing for a forbidden fruit called humanism.

In future we can see kids fishing for humanism. Last week ,on a Tuesday night as usual I sat down to check my mails, about what sort of links people are posting and the news of the day on in social networking sites as Twitter,Facebook ,Word-press & Blogger like where peoples heads are at, what the latest fuzz to follow and figure out.So we all know that word of mouth is the strongest form of marketing, whether or not you can call it marketing or just the way we interact with one another, and we see evidence of this all the time.Okay, well it’s kind of freaky and interesting sometimes.Whatever,I saw a lot of people & even Dalai Lama fussing & tweeting around about Human Values. For so hundred's of years now, Science, Technology, & Human Values has provided the forum for cutting-edge research and debate in this dynamic and important field. We owe much to the thinkers of ancient traditions, the scientific and social reformers from the Renaissance forward, and those of
