Poetry - Ningthou Kangba's (Manipur)Ancient Kangleipak a "Jeweled land's" tale of dismay & disappointment unfolds.

Once known as the 'Switzerland of India'.

In shadows cast by anguish,a tale of sorrow unfolds.
Of women in India, many whose stories still remain untold.

In the darkest corners of Manipurs streets.
A tragedy transpired, where sorrow and torment meets.

Women, innocent and pure, faced a cruel fate.
Mass raped and killed, their lives stolen by hate.

In the secluded heartland of Manipur, where beauty once thrived.
Darkness has descended, and innocence was deprived.

Women were paraded stripped naked, groped and mauled by a disorderly mob.
And happily these men lighted up a flash mob.

Those men hunted our bodies as war zones.
They felt our chest throb through our broken bones.

Families tormented, haunted by the memories they bear.
Torn apart by sorrow, burdened with the weight of despair.

Their cries suppressed, their lives cut short.
By a heinous act of violence, a world torn apart.

The streets that witnessed their scream agony and cries.
Now bear the scars of many unspeakable lies.

Their bodies violated, their spirits crushed.
In a horrifying act, humanity hushed.

The echoes of their pain reverberate in the air.
As their spirits whisper, burdened by despair.

They were too daughters, sisters, mothers, and friends.
Their lives were shattered whose hopes met bitter ends.

Their voices silenced forever, their dreams now scattered.
In a world where humanity is tattered.

Oh, the anguish that lingers, like a haunting refrain.
As their souls weep, and their families remain.

Their ethnicity, now a target of persecution and pain.
In a world where prejudice and hatred still remain.

For in a moment of brutality & horror, their souls were defiled.
Leaving scars on their ripped spirits, never to be reconciled.

The tears of their loved ones, a river that won't cease.
As they grapple with grief, searching for inner peace.

Their hearts bleed for justice, for the truth to prevail.
The wheels of time turn slowly, and the anguish they inhale.

Oh, the anguish of those left behind, their spirits crushed.
As they navigate a life where hope feels hushed.

Unravelling from the damage, where tempers frayed.
Women from all race prayed with the saviour god to be saved.

Tortured and severely tormented, the families endure.
For their ethnicity, their suffering still ensure.

In a country where diversity should be embraced.
People face persecution, their hearts left displaced.

The pain they carry, now a burden too immense.
Innocent lives lost, a profound consequence.

Oh, the tears that flow, a torrent of despair.
As their loved ones mourn, their hearts laid bare.

Injustice still prevails their cries for justice unheard.
In a world where compassion becomes a distant word.

Let us not turn away, but face this reality.
Stand as one against this atrocious brutality.

May their weeping voices echo, breaking the walls of silence.
Demanding justice, shedding light on this violence.

In the depths of our souls, may empathy & patience reside.
For the women & people who suffered, for the tears they've cried.

But amidst the darkness, a flicker of resilience remains.
A determination to rise, to heal, and break these chains.

Let us not turn away, but stand in solidarity.
With the women of Manipur, till their voices set free.

May justice be their solace, their wounds find reprieve.
And may their spirits find solace,in unity as we all grieve.

The dense echoes of their anguish fill the air.
As we stand united, their stories we must share.

Though dejected and sorrowful, let us hold their pain.
And work together to ensure it won't happen again.

May their memory be a reminder, a call to unite.
To strive for a world where love will always ignite.

For universal love, we'll rise, their spirits we'll embrace.
And strive for a world where love will always find its place.

May their memory ignite a flame that won't cease.
A call for change, for a world of love and peace.

Street talk!

Gray Life on the street  More people in our country lack of homes today. They live under the flyovers, under old broken bridges, inside plumbing pipeline, near railway stations, road dividers, pavements - they are everywhere.Every single day.We all pass them by uncaringly. Daily. Even me included. It is not easy  seeing  someone trying to survive on the  streets  of the city, and our reactions can range from pity, to anger, to choosing not to  see  the person at all. ... what it's like to have no home. Homelessness is about more than just poverty. And on bone chilling winters s ome arere visibly distressed and freezing, barely able to feel their hands...

A nostalgic trip to memory lane.

Just some time ago i got in  touch with many of my old school pals through social networking site Facebook. Thanks to Technology which has brought us all closer.Connecting with long-lost friends is like checking out those class  group photo session.Whether its Facebook , Twitter or any medium of social networking,it helped me to connect with good old high school,my teachers, principal and college friends who I had not  seen or heard from in decades. Its been a topsy turvy life for me all along. But suddenly i was  filled with life meeting them though virtually.Which later on became possible in practical too.Felt those butterflies fluttering in my stomach in excitement of hearing them.Really the moment is so nostalgic & lovely to be able to know & see how gracefully we have all aged and how  wonderful they all are doing!I found myself in the muddle of my long lost friends. It was as if some  sort of telepathic connection that me and some of my old...

Fishing for a forbidden fruit called humanism.

In future we can see kids fishing for humanism. Last week ,on a Tuesday night as usual I sat down to check my mails, about what sort of links people are posting and the news of the day on in social networking sites as Twitter,Facebook ,Word-press & Blogger like where peoples heads are at, what the latest fuzz to follow and figure out.So we all know that word of mouth is the strongest form of marketing, whether or not you can call it marketing or just the way we interact with one another, and we see evidence of this all the time.Okay, well it’s kind of freaky and interesting sometimes.Whatever,I saw a lot of people & even Dalai Lama fussing & tweeting around about Human Values. For so hundred's of years now, Science, Technology, & Human Values has provided the forum for cutting-edge research and debate in this dynamic and important field. We owe much to the thinkers of ancient traditions, the scientific and social reformers from the Renaissance forward, and those of...
