Ghost of Nirbhaya - The mystery still continues to resonate through dark inauspicious case with Manipur sexual assault on women in 2023 too.

Wow, another day, another horrifying incident happens.Strangely enough,as a Culture, the public everywhere in the globe has been collectively shaming women always, simply for being a Women. More women tortured by women itself. Some people in a cheering crowd called for her to be raped. Most of the baying mob were women..Many were women itself from different tribe. There were women present in the crowd…instigating the men to be more brutal with her. The alleged involvement of women has touched a nerve in a country that has long struggled to address gender violence. This only demonstrates the scale of internalized misogyny in India. It's truly disheartening and embarrassing too to see the Indian police failing miserably in their duty to protect citizens. This is a blatant display of apathy and it's high time justice is served. If fighting crimes against women is a fight of the female gender, women should have supported the girl…but they did not do that. Makes me feel so angry and sad thinking that we have such evil dirty women who can do something like that to another women. In India often it is often women who police other women’s actions or way of dressing.

Now the MANiPUR state is in the grip of violence perpetrated by extremist or insurgent groups and it is necessary that armed forces remain deployed to help the civil administration ensure order and peace. Its almost over five months now.The state is burning.Yet no action has been implemented by central government to ease the pain and Violence in that state. It has been totally ignored. After those mass sexual violence and rape on Kuki tribe women.Rape and other types of severe sexual assaults is considered to be a heinous crime against the human body. Then whether it’s male or female, or an animal. Rape in whichever way to whoever it's done on has a severe impact on the body and mind of the victim, which we should not forget. The punishment should be equal for every culprit, whether it is whichever sex. Otherwise our sins will certainly seek us out finally.

I really do not know how to express a concise viewpoint on this painful subject. What exactly should i be writing in succinct sentences about a painful journey of being a women.I have no words to express my deep pain after seeing the recently surfaced video where Kuki-Zo women were paraded naked and also sexually assaulted during that moment by many men on May 4, 2023.There were more than hundred men in that crowd who took turns to touch these women's private parts while making them walk. One thing I never understood is why AFSPA (Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act is still provided extra-ordinary powers of shoot on just suspicion, search and arrest. And humiliate or murder poor innocent public. Why such draconian laws are still in existence and being followed in our nation by our central government? It has been 10 year's now since the BJP has come to power, but AFSPA still remains operational. This scenario where the right to justice of common people has been deprived by ‘impunity’ granted to functionaries of state violence has only worsened people’s despair. Now it is upon the law keepers of India and civil society, together with activists from all over the globe to work towards the end of culture of violence. And restore the right to life ,freedom, the right to justice. All this case Indecorous, Obscene behaviour by Indian men makes me remember another case related to Thangjam Manorama of Manipur, who was allegedly killed in 2004 by Assam Rifles, a security force of government.Pondering much further, it also forces me to take a trip down memory lane to the chronicles of the another horrifying and appalling murder of 20-year-old Noor Almaleki in Peoria, Arizona by her own parents, in year October 2009. Noor’s friends reminisce about her passion for studies, school and her aspirations to become a teacher.

And one of the most compelling, disturbing and upsetting film made by British documentary maker Leslee Udwin I have seen other than Bandit Queen. The documentary brought life to many other victims of rape or honour killing like NOOR ALMALEKI to the light. Both herself and her boyfriend wanted to be somebody, to do something with their life. This isn't an isolated incident as we all know now. It's happening around the world. And here in India...This is a really big problem. The life of the parent's of nirbhaya has been so startlingly difficult to get justice for their daughter.Jyoti Singh‘s (or Nirbhaya as our government has named her) parents acknowledged her case with the utmost courage. Though their daughter died an excruciating death, they still spoke of her with pride. But rarely do we dare to take action against these criminals, dismissing them as harmless charlatans. And,what’s funny is that at no point in the whole process of protests was that our government ever gave it a real consideration. It is my personal opinion that all is in mind set and because of loophole in our system. The movie shows the truth & must outrage every decent Indian man to say NEVER AGAIN.It’s about time we taught ourselves to face hideous realities about the sickness and rot prevailing in our males. Nothing will be achieved by banning the film. Whosoever is interested in the subject has seen it already.Or will see it.The bitter fact is the movie provokes us to think. They provide us deep insights into such acts.

Sitting under a twinkling drop sliding on a gilded window pane in a train on the way back to Delhi,I walked slowly to my berths podium and lay there thinking and looking at the top of the train.Feeling nervous and cold, despite the blanket over my shoulders and the scarf on my head.My inner resilience, my everlasting positive faith in god, my harsh growing up years, and the fact that i hold nothing back in the retelling of my own life's journey today, is an inspiration not just for all other women who have suffered in shameful silence, but to those wanting to reach out for the light. In some way…but dejected and still waiting for that justice. The BBC channel's banned documentary film "India's Daughter" on the life of nirbhaya has raised a major storm even before its formal release in India. After a few weeks the Supreme Court passed an order that the movie be banned in our country, but the film-makers have not yet done so.These excuses expose a deeply misogynistic mind. Sadly, our society constantly reaffirms these medieval ideas in the guise of  ‘protecting’ and ‘respecting’ women.Ours is perhaps the only so-called liberal democracy in the world, which has successfully institutionalized misogyny – which is then defended for a whole host of shameful reasons. In a the year 2013 protest by the public which rocked the government. Despite the strong involvement of public in it.The government couldn't deliver justice to women who go through harassment and rape victims.Yes now its proved that India and certain indian women and mothers are suffering from the ostrich syndrome. With their Head in the sand and pretend no one can see it.Whether educated or we women are also living beings, we know what's right and what's not.If this is the case still prevailing. Then our government must shut all temples where you pretend to worship the female form. While India marks International Women’s Day every year in 2023 too, i think there is hardly any cause for celebration. Indeed, in many parts of the world this is not a good time to be a woman.. Strangely enough, as a Culture, the public everywhere in the globe has been collectively shaming women always, simply for being a Women.
Not only women, but also men should be careful with such men and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh. And should be saved. Really this game is not easy to understand, but then what is the thing that is easy for women in this country.During the era of Roman empire, there was one time when public demanded “an eye for an eye” as justice. But now, we the India don’t believe in “an eye for an eye,” as it is against human rights as well as society. If something like this happened in society, everyone on the planet would go blind. The word 'man' is gender-biased, which according to their proclamation denotes power, is embedded with masculine behaviour, appearance, and control over women. All over women are simply discriminated against or belittled simply because they are women. Being a woman is so hard a task, no matter where you are in the whole world. Every culture has unreasonable, impossible, and even contradictory expectations for their women.Whether Ethnic or non ethnic. Violence is just violence…In Simple expression.I am so deeply in extreme level disturbed with the situation in Manipur. And with the sad condition of women in India too.Sad thing earlier women sat in Delhi's streets for their fundamental rights regardless of extreme climate. Then too the government ignored them.Years back too something similar happened in many other states and Delhi too. All words of condoning such heinous crimes means nothing until action is taken swiftly. These days I just feel right. Was all these regional and religious riots happened currently an ambush in purpose really? To divert from genuine real problems.I am being very frugal. No not at all.Should not allow women to be pawns. Politicians are giving out any rubbish Rationale? Just anything? But none matter--irrespective of what and why, circumstantial, we cannot allow women to be pawns in any games. Why not men be walked, molested naked in open and raped by public.? Why are these leech men like Ram Rahim and Asaram roaming like nothing happened? Now this collective shame and anger needs to be channelled now in a more proper unified voice for just one thing-that is swift justice. It's very frustrating.Such humiliation is extremely so saddening. The government doesn't feel anything for its citizens' problems and just pretend to solve them.Remaining silent is one of the best strategies he takes when it comes to his own failures. So when someone is seen shedding crocodile tears, it refers to a show of pretended sorrow usually by someone who is cruel by heart.Seriously what a mockery it was. Seen breaking his silence after 79 days of riots in Manipur. It took a full seventy nine days for severe ache and disgrace to penetrate its fifty six-inch physique.Such a thick skin Babu has. His coronary heart sank when the video of India’s womanhood being dragged and poached on the streets went viral.Tears welled up in his eyes. That his voice shook too after that. When will he ever acknowledge that its his governance failure to deal with such a situation. All are human beings first and then men, women, third-gender, and transgender. Crime against anyone is against society’s rules. And needs to be punished equally. In the jungle also, animals follow certain rules for their safety and their herd. But sadly, our nation, it's politicians and our law is not abiding by it.Then how and with whom to expect justice from. We never demanded or wanted an eye for an eye, but what we have wanted is strict punishment for the culprits. It al also means a good government. So is it a warning to us that our future generations, whether male or female, are not safe? This case is a shameful act against the entire female class. In India, 80% of women are victims of domestic violence & have experienced Sexual Assault in work place.50% of Indian men admit they have physically abused women. This has become a cultural practice in India and world over.If this attitude is to thrive, we need to think differently.I recall the surprise of finding out just how little my some of my women friends know of their country’s women. Barely after a few days into the ban, I got into a taxi with a lady friend to go to office and she said, in a angry loud irritated voice: “Can we please go for a drink? Why can't people just understand that the more we deny that it is a systemic issue, the less we can solve this problem. We must understand that the victim's parents themselves were interviewed in India's Daughter..The comments the rapist makes are certainly incendiary. Mukesh Singh appears to show no remorse for his crime and seems to be suggesting that, by fighting back, his victim was responsible for her own murder. This is the sort of hypocrisy that has existed for centuries in our country. This is also one of the main reasons why people like Mukesh Singh can look straight into the camera and say what he does and what he feels. And a defence lawyer, can so openly and boldly boast he’d slaughter his daughter if he discovers she’d had sex before marriage. Why can't our government digest the truth. Why can't they bring in Dubai rules. The time has come to demand a detailed scrutiny of all such crimes."But what’s the point if the trial goes on for 13-15 long years ...many women cases are still going on to get justice and rape calls for immediate death .I could only answer her in sadness that this is certainly not a nation to bring more daughters into. Violence is our destiny. No reader can fail to be on her side after seeing the film, and all the more amazing for being true. It will make you cry, it will also make you cheer the film maker.I many times sit and think that im living in s country of faceless victims. But though too brutal for everyday consumption they do leave an indelible mark on public. One thing leads to another- for the public standing up for her, or for her family, Nirbhaya or all women is always punished tenfold by the government and elders. She lost her life trying to resist her barbaric attackers, who first raped her and then savagely mauled her.
In the scramble to find a identity, I have settled for my fate. The anger. The angst. The absolution. That we gave into.Shame on our nation. The candles. The countless protest marches. The defiant sloganeering. The shaming of the capital where I have lived whole life...Making me sad –that I live in a nation that worships its Goddesses, but mistreats its own women. How does our nation allow such a men to carry on with their nefarious deeds for so many years?Where is the state machinery while these kind of monsters flourished? These killers are emboldened to commit more crimes because people like us turn our heads away when the harsh truth looks us in the eye. And keep silent.Until and unless the mindset changes, the disease will thrive and continue to spread. For generations, we have allowed irrational and blatantly misogynistic biases to cloud our thinking. It took the tragic deaths of uncountable innocents, and violent assaults against many more before the tardy and hopelessly inept government of our country to decide to take action. But i also feel that by banning the documentary we generalize our country as a rapist nation because that way you are shutting doors for real men and women to lose their footing to prove themselves globally.Be it nirbhaya case or several other cases pending in our courts for 20- 25 years is collective shame – and as much as it makes my stomachs churn with disgust.

SO WHY TALK ABOUT GUJARAT or MANIPUR TODAY? WHY REMEMBERING IT NOW IN BETWEEN THIS DISCUSSION? WHAT LESSONS HAVE WE LEARNED FROM THAT? Why we forget the pain of those people who underwent torture especially those who survived..and those unlucky women, minor girls who underwent mass rape and sexual harrasment.Who also saw people burnt to death.Like this thousands of stories still haunt me. It's been so many years since that Godhra riots. It still haunts my mind and brain. It is certainly a memory for indefinite period of time.Because the recent happenings in Manipur have completely shaken my confidence and trust in the Government and its capacity to uphold and protect a democratic and secular India. Alike me,the entire nation is shocked at the callousness and inefficiency displayed by the law and order. The mass carnage and mass sexual assault here has created an increasingly negative image of India among people in many parts of the world. It is be a tragedy indeed. Now after all these sad happenings its so clear that the normal public, especially the minorities, are both insecure and faced continuing harassment and abuse. And,It is a mystery whether it formed a cavity between the system & minds of public or travelled to the bottom of the core in us or got stuck somewhere in between.Separating fact from emotion.Yet, the confirmation of capital punishment on the perpetrators is unlikely to act as a deterrent to rape for several unknown reasons. It is unlikely that it will make a dent to India’s shameful statistics on sexual violence. No matter how richly deserved —will not answer the question why despite tougher laws, rape continues. Why are survivors of sexual assault subject to public scrutiny? Why does under-reporting of sexual violence continue? With only one in four rape trials resulting in conviction, what can be done to increase conviction rates? What steps have governments taken to make cities safer and more inclusive of women?Nothing changes unless you first dismantle patriarchy and recognise women as equal citizens, with equal right to life, speech, act and dignity. Social change, starting with education, must be a focal point. These factors aside, there is little evidence to suggest that the thousands of other victims  in India had not gone through an experience as harrowing as Nirbhaya’s.The experience carves a deep wound in every women's mind, which may not heal over time and scars will remain forever. It will haunt all of us always even as nightmare. There are no answers to these questions.

"My personal opinion - In a way that leaves no doubt.I unequivocally totally condemn any violence in the protest. If I had the choice,I would go to some remote hills to live alone and never come back to our nation. It’s sad to say that this is the country I call home for most of my life.YES...Now I hate the fact of being a woman. Being a woman in our nation is a dehumanizing, painful curse. All these extreme humiliations, violence, sexualization, objectivization, and so on, I feel ashamed and unsafe just for my existence now. I always feel ugly.I can't make a healthy living from a career. As a woman always being judged and abused by men.Our minds are not our own.Our bodies have to suffer so much.We don't truly get bodies that belong to us - they belong to hypothetical people. If I had the choice, I would go to some remote hills to live alone and never come back to our nation. It’s sad to say that this is the country I call home for most of my life."

There are various Culinary uses of i
