Far away from the madding crowd to the placid aura of nature...

For me Traveling gives me unforgettable experiences and adventure. It doesn't matter where you go in life...or where you reached.Travel makes life so much more interesting. Aeons back too, an epic journey to the world landscape was undertaken by an extraordinarily virtuous prince lord rama, his devoted wife, and brother in order to uphold righteousness. That golden period was known as "Rama Rajya".Lord ram and family too had to live a nomadic life. They traveled from place to place, one country to another country rather than living in one place all the time.

But off lately I have become a travel addict too.And would love to explore more hidden places, meet people and live a life like this in my retiring years.Yes I call myself too a Hodophile. I have been to some places. This blog post is not any epic story like lord Rama's.This is only my experience in written matter. And today I am sharing one such iota on such visit. In future will share more of such beautiful adventure story with you.I am sharing here about the visit to Kanyakumari. Before that we first visited Padmanabhapuram Palace. It is almost always synonymous and adventurous site with watching the sunrise at the Vivekananda Rock.It is said that it is the only place on earth, where we can see the Sun Rise and Sun Set from the ocean.Looking at the mesmerizing statue of the great Vivekananda Rock built in the honour of Swami Vivekananda, who is said to have attained enlightenment on the rock or the great maestro Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar Statue made me remember those unforgettable historical quotes "As the quality of water changes with the nature of the soil; So will a man's reason vary with the quality of his friends".Then there is this Mahatma Gandhi Memorial which is said to have been designed in such a way that on the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, the first rays of the sun fall on the spot where the ashes of the Mahatma are kept.As I continue my mythological journey. It's amazing to feel all the three chilled rivers underneath my feet all of them together. It is cold. Those tiny crabs tickling my feet ,those sea shells hitting my feet made me jump in the sea. While engrossed in my own world all those forgotten songs and my life events came infront of my eyes as flash back.I also vividly remember those things which i wish I had conquered or not conquered in my life.Memories of past personal good and bad experiences. Suddenly i felt that my biography is based on my recollections.Everything conjured up infront of my eyes like a movie.I don't know about how other people feel. But i believe that if i could go back in time and correct some things in life.If i could just or could have done things a little in a better way, ignored some situations, maybe improve myself a little more, i would have become a better person capable of achieving my  dreams.Maybe i could become a better human being with little more empathy. In our life timing and decisions both are very precious. Sometimes the time for decision does not come. And sometimes we never take decisions on time. Then a lot is left behind. And a lot moves ahead our thoughts. These abrupt circumstances teach
us to listen and bear. This unpredictable time teaches us to adjust too. Suddenly I felt.I need to recognize my Purpose in life. That feeling of self worth suddenly made me realise that i don't have much time left.Afterall our final destination is our destiny which is planned by god.All was so magical.Rivers ,sea and streams are an indispensable part of our lives, no matter where we travel. The confluence of three ocean bodies - the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea - makes the sunrise and sunset even more special.Water is magical and it has so many untold unknown stories to tell us.It was spiritual experience for me.In that ensuing quietness, where there is no sound but only music of waves caressing each other. There was only mesmerizing smell and  breathing sound of the big waves bouncing off from the rock time by time. The very ambiance makes one elevated in mind and spirit.

The sunrise and sunset are beautiful sights from the temple platforms. So is the dazzling diamond nose-ring of the deity that is said to be visible from the mid-sea.We pass the fishing boats drawn up on the shore, their nets carefully stowed away. The seashore is rocky slippery and dangerous, and there is a man-made wall made up rocks running along it made after the uproar of tsunami. It made me think while going on that jetty ride. What if a tsunami hits that moment again. This what if never leaves us. The Beaches here in specific areas of the district are also said to be rich in mineral content such as Thorium. Thorium is a natural radioactive metal used in India's nuclear programme and nuclear power reactors. The sea is fairly rough as i watch the  sea and rocks take a sunbathe on soft golden sands.I sat on a boulder with my feet immersed in that sun kissed shimmering waters of the endless sea for a long time feeling the cool wind blowing into me,embracing the moment ,crabs nibbling on my feet and indulging in the pleasing environment. Anyone can become poet here. The sky is cloudy and it appears as though the sun may not show up for the evening.Still waiting to catch that  momentum of nature.I love my camera. And my camera is my eyes.I love to stop time with my camera. This is where I will share my favorite captured moments with you...Although I didn't get as many photo opportunities with its spectacular and unique sunrise and sunset.Still I managed to get a couple of beautiful shots.I can imagine with such scenic destination why Greater pink flamingos flock to kanyakumari.Mostly the world is all beautiful, but we don’t have the eyes to see it. In short this haven offers solace from the hustle and bustle of the city life.It is a haven for Painters and photographers like me.

This will be a HUGE change for me and will be emotionally challenging too.And I am eagerly waiting to take Refuge in such panorama forever.

Street talk!

Gray Life on the street  More people in our country lack of homes today. They live under the flyovers, under old broken bridges, inside plumbing pipeline, near railway stations, road dividers, pavements - they are everywhere.Every single day.We all pass them by uncaringly. Daily. Even me included. It is not easy  seeing  someone trying to survive on the  streets  of the city, and our reactions can range from pity, to anger, to choosing not to  see  the person at all. ... what it's like to have no home. Homelessness is about more than just poverty. And on bone chilling winters s ome arere visibly distressed and freezing, barely able to feel their hands...

A nostalgic trip to memory lane.

Just some time ago i got in  touch with many of my old school pals through social networking site Facebook. Thanks to Technology which has brought us all closer.Connecting with long-lost friends is like checking out those class  group photo session.Whether its Facebook , Twitter or any medium of social networking,it helped me to connect with good old high school,my teachers, principal and college friends who I had not  seen or heard from in decades. Its been a topsy turvy life for me all along. But suddenly i was  filled with life meeting them though virtually.Which later on became possible in practical too.Felt those butterflies fluttering in my stomach in excitement of hearing them.Really the moment is so nostalgic & lovely to be able to know & see how gracefully we have all aged and how  wonderful they all are doing!I found myself in the muddle of my long lost friends. It was as if some  sort of telepathic connection that me and some of my old...

Fishing for a forbidden fruit called humanism.

In future we can see kids fishing for humanism. Last week ,on a Tuesday night as usual I sat down to check my mails, about what sort of links people are posting and the news of the day on in social networking sites as Twitter,Facebook ,Word-press & Blogger like where peoples heads are at, what the latest fuzz to follow and figure out.So we all know that word of mouth is the strongest form of marketing, whether or not you can call it marketing or just the way we interact with one another, and we see evidence of this all the time.Okay, well it’s kind of freaky and interesting sometimes.Whatever,I saw a lot of people & even Dalai Lama fussing & tweeting around about Human Values. For so hundred's of years now, Science, Technology, & Human Values has provided the forum for cutting-edge research and debate in this dynamic and important field. We owe much to the thinkers of ancient traditions, the scientific and social reformers from the Renaissance forward, and those of...
